Join us at the Texas VFW 2022 Mid-Winter Conference being held in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the
Omni Corpus Christi Hotel! Once again the VOD and Patriot's Pen Awards Banquet will be held onboard the USS Lexington.
The USS Lexington is a World War II vintage aircraft carrier. Commissioned in 1943, she served the United States longer and set more records than any other carrier in the history of naval aviation. Decommissioned in 1991, The USS Lexington is open year-round, seven days a week for touring and special events. Learn more about the historic USS Lexington here.
Mid-Winter will be filled with informative training sessions, seminars, committee meetings, job fair, blood drive, vendor booths, and plenty of camaraderie amongst new friends and old. In addition, Texas Veterans of Foreign Wars Veterans Service Officers, Mike Eshenbaugh and Katina Cryer, will be in attendance Friday, January 21, from 8-11:30 am and 1:30-4:30 pm and Saturday, January 22, from 8 am-Noon to help veterans make initial claims for VA disability and VA compensation. Any veteran who wishes to file a VA claim should attend to receive this free assistance.
