Apply for Accreditation

If you are already an accredited representative of another organization and wish to represent VFW claims as well, you may apply for cross-accreditation using this process.

First

Download and complete the following forms.

  • VFW Application for Accreditation (rev 01.01.2022)

    This is for VFW internal records.

  • VA 21 (2023)

    Box 7A should read “Veterans of Foreign Wars”. Answer all other questions as applicable to your pre-existing work information. The CONTACT information entered on this form will be what is published, so please make sure it is where and how you want veterans to find you.

  • Background Investigation Certificate

    Have your HR, personnel, or similar staff complete this form to certify a background investigation was performed when you were hired. We only need this form, not the full background investigation.

Second

Obtain a copy of your last VA TRIP training certificate. This can be obtained by logging in at: trip.learnupon.com

Send all documents together to: miles@texasvfw.org

There will be a short period to verify information, usually less than one business day, and then the packet will be forwarded to VFW National Headquarters for immediate processing.

If approved, the applicant will be notified by email of the new cross-accreditation.
